The Financial Services Agency of Japan Will Crack Down On AML And CFT In the Virtual Currency Field

[ChainDD report] September 1 (ChainDD) According to Coinpost, the Financial Services Agency (FSA) of Japan issued the "2020 Financial Administrative Guidelines" on August 31, which mentioned virtual currency and blockchain.

The document pointed out that with regard to virtual currencies, the FSA would strengthen measures to crackdown on anti-money laundering (AML) and combat terrorist financing (CFT), and play a leading role in adding rules for virtual currencies and stable currencies.

Regarding the blockchain, it would lead the discussion on the application of blockchain in the financial system in Japan and other countries.
