[ChainDD report] September 7 (ChainDD) According to China Business News, Yang Weizhong, the head of the Operation Management Department of the People's Bank of China (PBOC), said on September 6 that the PBOC was steadily promoting the trial of the Digital RMB, which had been successfully used in 345,000 scenarios for the Winter Olympics. These application scenarios has covered seven categories, including transportation and hotel booking.
At the same time, the bank has further promoted the pilot supervision of fintech innovation, and has released three batches of 22 fintech innovation applications.
In addition, the first Digital RMB exchange machine will be available at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
According to Yangcheng Evening News, yesterday, in "China International Fair for Trade in Services", the staff of OBOC said that China's first Digital RMB exchange machine would appear in the Winter Olympics. Foreign athletes would be able to spend their money in Digital RMB without having to open a bank account.
Shougang Park, another venue for the event, will also be the venue for some winter Olympics events. At present, with Shougang Industrial Park as the core, key business areas and tourist attractions as radiation, the Digital RMB application scenarios are accelerating.
