Russian Central Bank Proactively Researching Stablecoins But Will Not Support Any Private Cryptocurrency
[ChainDD report] November 13 (ChainDD) According to BelnCrypto, Elvira Nabiullina, the head of Russian Central Bank, stated in the State Duma that they are conducting researches on how digital currencies work in various countries but she also commented that they will not support any form of private funds in cryptocurrency.
Recently, Elvira Nabiullin shared views on national digital currency which can be risky and Russia does not need it at the moment. There is no plan of Russian Bank to release a ruble-backed stablecoin. However, Russia has been actively following the development of international digital currency and looks for a favorable and stable prototype for stablecoins.
