April 3 (ChainDD) On April 2, the launching ceremony of the digital RMB pilot program at Renmin University of China (RUC) was successfully held.

According to reports, the RUC Logistics Group has been actively exploring the construction of "smart campus" and has completed the early layout. So far, 2,542 people from the school have been approved by the People's Bank of China to take the lead in using the digital RMB.

At present, digital RMB settlement is already supported in campus souvenir shops. In the near future, supermarkets and catering affiliates of RUC will gradually open digital RMB settlement channels.
