China's Six Largest State-owned Banks have Started Promoting Digital RMB Wallets

Abstract : Customers only need to apply to join the white list and participate in the test by setting up bank sub-wallets in the central bank's digital RMB APP.

March 23 (ChainDD) According to the Shanghai Securities News, the process of testing the digital RMB is being speeded up, with six major state-owned banks already promoting their applications of digital RMB wallet.

At branches of state-owned banks, customers only need to apply to join the white list and participate in the test by setting up bank sub-wallets in the central bank's digital RMB APP.

At present, a number of application scenarios have begun to embrace the use of digital RMB. Internet leading platforms such as JD.com and Meituan, as well as brick-and-mortar shopping malls such as Heishi vending machines on the Shanghai subway and Xujiahui Huijin Department Store, have begun accepting digital RMB as a means of payment.
