On January 5, the Shenzhen Municipal Government issued the "Several Opinions of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government on Accelerating the Construction of Smart Cities and Digital Governments" (hereinafter referred to as the "Opinions").

The "Opinions" include recommendations to accelerate the construction of blockchain technology infrastructure, for example, building a unified blockchain infrastructure environment. Besides, it suggests creating a government alliance chain platform with high performance, high security, privacy, high scalability, which can provide storage, encryption, time stamping, consensus mechanisms, cross-chain and other blockchain services.

Shenzhen will also support relevant enterprises to use blockchain technology to optimize business processes and improve the collaboration efficiency.

In addition, Shenzhen will actively promote the application of new-generation information technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence and blockchain in the field of people's livelihood services, focusing on improving the service quality to meet multi-level and diversified service needs.
